In 2016 I rode my bike from Lands End to John O Groats which is known as Lejog. This year I intend to do the longest distance from end to end in France and I call it Le Frog ! The start & end points will be a little different to the UK as that well known route starts and finishes at the famous signs at either end of the UK mainland.
In France, however there really aren't any markers but I have found the most northernly point as a sign marking the border between France and Belgium on the beach just east of Dunkirk and the most southerly point as a restaurant called Relais Du Col D'Ares on the border into Spain in the Pyrenees at the crossing on the D115 at the top of a massive 5000 ft climb called the Col D'Ares. Mmmm.. this could be painful. There are more southern points but this is the most southern paved road I could find.
The start....
This marker was erected in 1819 to mark the border between France and the Netherlands (N) and until 1830. Since then it marks the border between France and Belgium.
